Egypt Institute Journal
The Egypt Institute Journal (EIJ) is a peer-reviewed international scholarly journal specialized in publishing scholarly articles in all areas of social sciences and humanities under an (Online) International Standard Serial Number (ISSN): 2717-8196. EIJ is issued quarterly in January, April, July and October by the Egyptian Institute for Studies (EIS), an independent, non-profit think tank for political and strategic studies located in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Egypt Institute Journal is supervised and managed by an editorial team and specialists in digital and printed academic publication, where articles are peer-reviewed by an academic board from a number of Arab and international universities, covering various disciplines of social sciences and humanities. The first issue of EIJ was published in January 2016.
Documentation and digital and print publication:
The EIJ publishes its articles under international digital identifiers for the journal itself, authors, and articles, with international reference numbers. EIJ is issued under an (Online) International Standard Serial Number (ISSN): 2717-8196, and registered in many international academic publishing platforms.
The EIJ is keen to document its published articles and authors within the global digital academic publishing system, to expand their spread and facilitate citation and circulation, and to protect the intellectual property rights of both the journal and authors alike.
In addition to the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN), the journal obtains a number of services that enhance its presence in the field of academic publishing:
The journal obtains an internationally recognized identification number, Digital Object Identifier (DOI), for the published article to document it in academic publishing platforms, with the aim of documenting the number of citations. In addition to granting a reference number for published articles, the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) service includes the article in international academic databases through its international agents and partners in the publishing field. The following table includes a list of agencies currently registered as partners of the DOI, with links to organizations for more information.
The agencies’ areas of coverage and links to the organizations are shown in this coverage table.
The Egypt Institute Journal facilitates obtaining an international digital identifier of the author, ORCID ID, to be added to the author’s name on published articles.
The journal obtains an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) for each edition of the printed and electronic publication, for circulation and trading among publishing houses, libraries, international book fairs, and online book marketing sites.
The author receives two hard copies of his article after publication or of the edition that includes his article, to be submitted to the academic authorities concerned, and for personal use.
